Alarm Panel and Siren
Alarm system installation involves the process of mounting the master control panel and siren in a location where it can be secure from vandalism but loud enough to be heard in the event of an emergency. Them, connect the indoor alarm siren, power transformer and backup alarm battery directly to the master alarm control panel.
Touchpad Keypad
After that, position and install the alarm keypad near the front door to give you enough time to “arm” and “disarm” the system upon entering or exiting the premise. If your system is a hardwired security system, then be sure to run a wire from the keypad to the master alarm control panel. If this can not be accomplished, you may want to think about installing a wireless security system because it is not required to run wiring from each device back to the alarm panel. Determine if you need or desire multiple alarm keypads such as one at the back door or garage. If you do, then install and run them wires back to the alarm panel. Next, position and install the associated alarm system devices in their respective areas.

Determine how when areas that you need protecting with motion detectors. Usually, each room needs at least one with a few in the common areas such as hallways, dining room and living areas. Once you determine how many motion detectors you want, install them and run the wires back to the alarm control panel. If you are installing a wireless alarm system then you do not have to run wires.
Window and Door Sensors
At this point, you are ready to install the window sensors and door sensors on each door and window. Use the alarm system instruction manual to determine where to position each device and runs those wires back to the alarm panel. It saves a lot of time when you are installing a wireless security alarm but it cost more to purchase.
Glass Breaker Detectors
Install each glass break detector near the area that there is glass. This can be windows and doors that include the inside of the home and even the garage. Read the alarm system manual to determine the correct spacing in the area. You generally only need a few of these devices as the coverage is more extensive than motion detectors.
Complete Alarm Installing
